Come and learn with us about the Portuguese Culture! The Spanish Studio, Ltd. offers three levels of Portuguese classes, as well as Portuguese for travelers. These classes are appropriate for those who want to speak Portuguese for business, to communicate with relatives living outside the USA, to refine their skills, or just for fun. Portuguese for travelers is offered for those who need to speak Portuguese right away or those who want to get ready for their trip.

Description of Levels
Beginner
Is designed for those who want to obtain a basic foundation for oral communication. We start with numbers, days of the week, and general introductions. Simple verb tenses, sentence structure and practical vocabulary that you can use immediately are taught.
Intermediate
Builds on what is learned in Beginner classes. Vocabulary is expanded, past, future and other tenses are learned.
Advanced
By now, the student should be able to use past and future tenses and have sufficient vocabulary to ask for and understand information. New learning includes the use of the imperative and more complex sentence structures.
Each course begins with a review of the previous one. Class size is small so that individual needs can be addressed. Listening comprehension and cultural insights are integrated into each class.
Portuguese for Travelers
Is perfect for those who are planning trips all year round or during the Carnival Season.
Tuition
8-week courses
- $265 (materials are included)
- $50 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT/processing fee is required for enrollment and may be paid by check or credit card. The remaining balance is due at the first class session.
- Transfers may occur prior to the second class ONLY. NO REFUNDS.
Portuguese for Travelers
- $150 (materials are included)
Private/Semi-Private Lessons
- May be scheduled at any time.
- Lessons are two hours in length. A minimum of four classes is requested.
- A 24-hour cancellation/rescheduling notice is required.
